The health & safety of my guest is of the upmost importance to me. In this post I will tell you how my walking tour is COVID-19 safe and what the overall situation in Helsinki and in Finland is. So please read on if you´re wondering about this.
COVID-19 situation in Finland is well under control. All of the restrictions have been lifted and we´re expecting to have a “normal” summer. Arrival regulations are also lifted, so no need to show negative test results or anything similar. Full series of covid-19 vaccinations are strongly recommended however.
Over all health and safety guidance
The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) is our equivalent to CDC, and they issue the national recommendations for protective actions during any health safety related situation. You can check the up-to-date COVID-19 situation from their website here: https://thl.fi/en/web/infectious-diseases-and-vaccinations/what-s-new/coronavirus-covid-19-latest-updates.
The Finnish Border Guard (RAJA)
Official restrictions on border traffic due to COVID-19 have been lifted completely. More information about crossing the border to Finland can be found here: https://raja.fi/en/guidelines-for-travellers.
Official Finnish Government guidance
The restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic have been lifted. They keep monitoring the situation and react accordingly. more information can be found here: https://valtioneuvosto.fi/en/information-on-coronavirus.
My safety measures taken
As you can conclude, the pandemic starts to be in our rearview mirror. Here are steps I´ve taken to ensure the health safety of all my guests.
- My tour takes place outdoors, where the spreading of communicable disease is minimal.
- Social distancing is easy during your tour.
- I have taken the full series of covid-19 vaccinations.
- I wash my hands repeatedly during a day.
