The Sustainable Travel Finland (STF) certification demands significant dedication and ongoing effort from companies, requiring them to complete a rigorous 7-step process that includes extensive training, third-party audits, and the implementation of comprehensive sustainability practices across all aspects of their operations. As a government-validated and regulated program, STF ensures that certified companies meet the highest standards of sustainability, providing credibility and assurance to environmentally conscious travelers. This certificate is renewed annually based on company´s performance and sustainability efforts.
The Good Travel Seal (GTS) is a comprehensive sustainability certification program for tourism-related businesses, covering 10 key sustainability themes. Its rigorous auditing process, which includes both on-site and remote audits, ensures thorough evaluation of all critical areas of sustainability, effectively preventing greenwashing and providing credibility to certified businesses. This certificate is renewed annually based on audits on company´s performance and sustainability efforts.
